Baylake Pines residents enjoy the calm, bayfront lifestyle similar to Tampa Bayshore residents. Roughly 300 single family, detached homes are in this community. Development of the neighborhood occurred primarily in the 1960s and therefore ranch homes are predominant. Younger families have moved in, redesigning or rebuilding these homes, yet the character remains the same. A strong civic league and neighborhood watch presence provides security and a voice in the community. Three seasons of good weather bring out golf carts and dog-walkers and beach-goers.
» Read Full ReviewAlthough Belltown is right next to downtown Seattle and Westchase is in the suburbs. The architecture and landscaping in the condo areas are very similar. Both are very upscale and walkable (at least the West Park Village area of Westchase is). Most of the residents are younger families or single young professionals and there are nearby commercial districts catering to these populations at both places.

The San Marco area, however, has mainly local establishments and Hyde Park features some chain stores. There is a lot of activity in both communities and they both feature a centralized area for entertainment, restaurants and shopping.
